Dear member
As there is still a significant minority of people yet to pay their subs for the season it is easier to send this mail to everyone. If you have paid, please skip this section and look at section 2) below.
As you know, subscriptions are due at the beginning of each season and the rate is set at £100 with 50% discounts for students and pensioners. This amount may either be paid in full at the beginning of the season (as most do) or, if preferred, in 4 equal instalments paid at the beginning of each concert's rehearsal schedule.
Late payments are penalised by £5 per concert so, if you are expecting to play in all concerts and have not yet paid, you should now pay £110 !
If you are not playing in all concerts, the rate is reduced by £25 (or £12.50 if discount is applicable) for each that you are not in.
All rules and practical advice about making the payment can be found on the members' page of the website ( www.bromleysymphony.org ).
2) Details
We need to ensure we have up to date member data for a variety of reasons (e.g. accurate contact details). The most important reason for me as treasurer is that we want to claim as much Gift Aid as is possible to supplement the members' subscriptions. That depends on us having a signed declaration from each tax paying member (that includes pensioners of course). So, if any of the following applies to you:
... please print the Gift Aid form from the hyperlink on the website (url: http://bromleysymphony.org/new_members.pdf), or ask me to bring give you a copy. It is important that the gift aid box is signed if we are to be able to reclaim tax on your behalf.
Sorry that was such a long one. I will try to be more concise in future!
One last thing, if section leaders could let me know the names of any NEW MEMBERS that have joined this year, I will ensure we have the appropriate details on file for them.
Thank you
David Rodker
