Dear Member

Due in part to the re-scheduling of the rehearsals on the 8th and 15th March (to accommodate our soloist Emilien) but also because Adrian has been unable to cover as much ground as he’d hoped so far, there has been another small change to the schedule (attached).  The change affects next week’s rehearsal (1st March) which previously had us rehearsing the Britten in the first half and the Chausson in the second.

Next week in the first half Adrian will now rehearse the Britten movements 1&2, then at 20:10 the Bridge movement 4 up until the break at 20:40.  After the break (20:55) he will rehearse the Debussy movements 1&2 to the end of the evening.  Woodwind section leaders in particular please take note of the changes and arrange for the relevant extra players to attend where necessary - if possible.

It occurs to me that as we have so far only played through the Chausson once – back on 1st February without Adrian actually rehearsing it in detail – and now; because of the above changes, we will not be rehearsing it until we have Emilien with us on the 8th March, I encourage everyone to keep your part on your practice stand at home – as well as the other three pieces of course!
