Making Music     Orchestral Workshop 2010!

 

Dear member,

This is a reminder of our upcoming Orchestral Workshop - we still have the following vacancies that must be filled by next week in order for the workshop to go ahead, so please spread the word! -

1 trumpet

 

3 trombones (2 tenor 1 bass or bass extension)

1 tuba

4 horns

4 violas (or more)

1 double bass (or more)

1 timpanist

1 bassoon

violins and cellos (there is always space for more!)

To celebrate Making Music’s 75th Birthday we are inviting all instrumental musicians to join us for an orchestral workshop!

The day will include both sectionals and full rehearsals under the expert direction of Nic Fallowfield and Chris Swann, to help participants to really get inside the music – and to have an enjoyable day!

The repertoire will be:
Sibelius – Overture Finlandia
Dvorak – Symphony No. 9 – New World


When? Sunday July 11: set up from 9.30am, sessions 10-5pm
Where? The Everest Community College, Oxford Way, Basingstoke, RG24 9UP
Cost? £20 (students and under-18s £10)
